Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora after arriving in Rome during the final leg of his five-nation tour. Italian Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani welcomed Modi at the airport, while cultural performers and Indian community members greeted him at his hotel. Modi also viewed a Varanasi-themed painting created by an Italian artist inspired by Indian culture.
